General Rules

Payments

We kindly ask that training fees be settled before class begins. Thank you for your cooperation.

Punctuality

Please arrive on time and ready to train. If you arrive late, kindly wait for the instructor's acknowledgment before joining.

Hygiene and Well-Being

Please help us maintain a clean and safe environment by keeping your gi fresh and clean. Trimmed nails (hands and feet) are appreciated to help prevent injuries.

If you are feeling unwell, have a contagious condition, or are not in proper condition to train, we kindly encourage you to rest and join us again when you're feeling better.

Cleanliness

Let's all do our part in keeping the dojo clean and organized at all times.

Mat Etiquette

Respect the Dojo

A bow when entering and leaving the mat is appreciated as a sign of respect. Let's treat the training space as a place of learning, discipline, and growth.

Respect the Instructor & Seniors

Please give full attention during instruction and avoid side conversations. Address instructors respectfully (e.g., "Sensei," "Professor," or "Coach").

Respect Training Partners

Train with care and control — your partner is there to help you improve. Please be mindful of strength and intensity, especially with newer students.

Mat Rules

No footwear on the mat, please. Food and drinks are best kept off the mat area.

Dress Code

Proper Training Attire

For safety, kindly remove jewelry and avoid bringing sharp objects onto the mat. Please wear the appropriate uniform for your discipline:

  • Judogi for Judo
  • Gi for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
  • Karate gi for Karate
  • Athletic attire for Arnis / FMA

Beginners are to wear a white belt. Higher belts are to wear their appropriate ranking belt.

Respect for Rank

Please wear your belt with pride and respect the ranking system of the dojo.

Safety First

  • Please practice only techniques that have been taught during class.
  • Train with control — let's avoid dangerous or uncontrolled movements.
  • Practicing proper breakfalls helps keep everyone safe.

Last and more importantly, ENJOY TRAINING!
